Frequently asked questions
How do I post a review about a practitioner?
From a practitioner's profile, or via the "Add a Practitioner" button, you can share your experience in a few minutes: the profession involved, a rating, your comment, and the practitioner's contact details.
I can't find my practitioner in the directory — why?
A practitioner only appears once they've received at least one review that our team has verified. If yours isn't listed yet, you can be the first to recommend them through the review form.
Do all reviews appear on the site?
Every review is checked by our team before publication, to make sure it's genuine, respectful, and useful to other families. Born to be Wild exists to help families find practitioners they can trust, so a review attached to a very low rating (below 2.5/5) isn't published on the practitioner's profile — it stays in our records rather than being deleted, and it puts that practitioner under closer watch from our moderation team.
I'm looking for a profession that isn't listed here — what should I do?
We're always adding new professions as the community grows. If you don't see the exact one you're looking for, check the "Other" category — it may already be listed there.
Why are some practitioners marked "Verified" and others aren't?
"Verified" can mean two things: our team has confirmed a review about this practitioner, or the practitioner has personally claimed and confirmed their own profile. Because most of the information comes directly from families sharing their experience, some details may occasionally be incomplete or out of date — let us know if you spot something that needs correcting.
Can I edit or remove my review after posting it?
There's no self-service edit button yet — just reach out to our team directly at any time, and we'll update or hide your review for you.
Can I leave a review about a negative experience with a practitioner?
Yes — honest feedback, positive or negative, is exactly what makes this directory useful. To stay true to our mission of helping families find practitioners they can trust, a review attached to a very low rating (below 2.5/5) isn't shown publicly — it stays safely in our records rather than being deleted. It also means that if the same practitioner receives other reviews afterwards, our moderation team pays closer attention to that pattern.
Is my personal information kept private when I post a review?
Yes — everything you share with us stays confidential. The only thing that appears publicly is the first name (or nickname) you provide when filling out the review form.

Questions from practitioners
I'm a practitioner — how do I get listed?
You don't need to sign up yourself: once a parent you've supported leaves a review and our team verifies it, your profile is automatically created and published in the directory. The more clients you invite to share their experience, the more genuine recommendations build up on your profile.
Can I reply to a review about me?
Not yet — but this is planned for a future version of the site.
Is it free to appear on Born to be Wild?
Yes — for now, in 2026, listing on Born to be Wild is completely free.
My profile information is outdated or incorrect — how can I update it?
Click "Claim this profile" on your practitioner page. Once our team has confirmed your identity, you'll be able to edit your profile directly — including your practice locations, specialities, and other details.
Why might a negative review not appear on my profile, and why can't I have it removed myself?
Every review is checked by our team to confirm it's genuine before anything is published. A review attached to a very low rating (below 2.5/5) won't appear publicly — but it isn't deleted either: it stays in our records, and it means we keep a closer eye on your profile if further reviews come in. We don't remove reviews from our system just because they're critical, only when they don't meet our publishing criteria.
