Clémence Guillard-Gonçalves

Therapist, Doula

Riachos, Lisboa

I’m Clémence Guillard-Gonçalves — a woman, a wife, a mother of three, a doula and a practitioner of the art of touch. I accompany women through the profound transitions of life — pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and the many moments when something within us is shifting, opening or being transformed. My work grew out of my own journey as a woman and a mother. When my first daughter was born, something in me opened too. Motherhood invited me to turn inward, to listen more deeply to what was alive within me, and to follow a path I had not anticipated. My journey had begun in a very different world. I first studied science, attending a French preparatory school for the Grandes Écoles, then graduating from École des Mines d’Alès before completing a PhD in Geography at IGOT-UL, focused on landslide risk. Science taught me to observe, question, understand systems and pay attention to their delicate balances. Motherhood led me towards another kind of knowledge — one rooted in the body, emotions, intuition and the wisdom of the living world. I went on to train in perinatal support and bodywork, notably with Luísa Condeço (Rede Portuguesa de Doulas), Naoli Vinaver (L’Art de la Naissance) and Miguel Borges (massage and Sattya Experience®). Today, I bring together listening, presence and touch in my work. I offer oil and Rebozo massages during pregnancy and postpartum, Sattya Experience® during pregnancy, as well as body-based rituals designed to honour moments of transition. I create spaces where women can slow down, breathe, soften, reconnect with their bodies and simply be held in whatever they are moving through. My intention is not to tell a woman how she should experience her journey, but to offer a safe and caring presence alongside her — listening, supporting and trusting her own rhythm. I offer online sessions and in-person support in Portugal, as well as occasional sessions in France — in Aveyron during July and August, and in the Paris region during December and January. Being there. Listening. Touching. Holding space for what is unfolding. With gentleness, presence and respect for what is seeking to be born.
